These stories are short responses to writing prompts contained in the blog.
Contained herein take place inside Union City, the focal point of my current work in progress novel. These are the stories about the day-to-day life of the people who inhabit a world destroyed by nuclear war and possible the last existing city suffering the ravages of it. And while life may be hard in Union City and the citizens face unique challenges, more often than not they experience the same common experiences as they did before the wars: Self-doubt, love, anger, joy, defeat, and success.
Even when things seem hopeless, humans find a way to keep going. I hope you will enjoy these pieces of personal history of Union City’s denizens, and continue to listen to their stories as their new world slow develops around them.
Scars of Our Resurrection: Manipulation of Threads
Reborn in Blood: Stories of Transformation is a collection of short stories about new vampires that I wrote over a decade ago. The stories attempt to capture the moments of
transformation and awaking as a vampire. It seeks to answer the question, what now? And while the stories only introduce the answer to the question, hopefully they will inspire you, my dear reader, to think about what this experience is like and really reflect on what it means to be immortal.
This is a collection of poetry that I’ve worked on over the years. A little bit of insight into
myself, and perhaps, if the poem is right a bit of insight into the reader. The passages may ramble as they were inspired by the whim of whatever emotion I happened to be experiencing at the moment, but hopefully in my words convey of the universality of emotion that everyone experiences. As the writer, these poems were for me for understanding me, but it is my sincere hope you find some of the words ring true to your own experience.
